The Australian skills assessment provider Vetassess has announced skills assessment changes from 1st January 2015. The organisation will now disallow the FIRST year of work experience after obtaining a qualification (Degree/Diploma) to be counted as skilled work. It is likely that the DIBP will follow suit and discount this first year of post qualification work experience in the points test. This will affect applicants for 187, 189, 190, and 489 visas.
