Australia has weathered the worldwide economic storm admirably, and although much of the country’s most prosperous regions have centred around Queensland and Western Australia, the Northern Territory is now making its mark as a great destination for prospective migrants.
The average wage on offer nationwide in the construction industry is AUD$77,711 (£49,084), but in Darwin similar positions are being offered at AUD$92,144 (£58, 208); that’s around 20% higher on average. According to Adzuna’s data, Darwin is now on course to become an employment hotspot to compete with Brisbane and Sydney.
